Come join us for another Social Committee "REM" Event (Ride, Eat & Mingle)! What better location to celebrate the 4th of July than our Commonwealth's Capital City of Frankfort?!
The event will be held at beautiful Juniper Hill Park, which is just west of and above the State Capitol Building. Highlights of the park are a golf course, water park, volleyball courts, and large picnic areas. The rides will start at 9 a.m. with some amazing routes through the hills and valleys of western Franklin County, and perhaps even Anderson and Shelby Counties. After the rides, we will have a full luncheon -- we will plan to eat at 11:30 or so . Rides will be tailored so we all finish about the same time.
REM rides are fun, social rides designed to encourage members to experience the unique terrain offered at club rides throughout the Bluegrass area. This year, REM rides will be offered in Midway, Frankfort, Nicholasville, Richmond and Lexington's far east side. There is a free lunch and social activity following the ride that provides an opportunity to connect with riders of different areas and pace groups. This a great way for new members to get to know other cyclists.
PLEASE register by June 27 as we will need to place our food order then. IF RAIN CANCELS WE WILL STILL HAVE THE LUNCH AT NOON. We hope to see you there to wish Happy Birthday to America!
