This May 7 the David’s Fork Friday Ride will also be a “Bill’s Ride” in support of Bill Sanborn. Bill joined the bike club, then the Bluegrass Wheelmen, in 1985 and was an active member before moving from Lexington in the fall of 2008. Unfortunately, Bill has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is undergoing treatment for this. His local bike club in Roseburg, Oregon is having a Bill ride this coming weekend to support Bill, and Bill’s wife Lynn Cockerham, who was also active in BCC, has suggested that we do the same here. Bill was a regular on the David’s Fork ride, making it an appropriate ride for us to show our support for him. We have a banner and before the ride will take photographs and have everyone sign the banner. The banner and photos will then be sent to Bill. We encourage as many people as possible to attend in support of Bill. Please arrive at the 10 am ride earlier than usual for the pre-ride picture taking. All of the routes and other BCC procedures will be the same. Those who do not wish to ride are certainly welcome to attend for the picture taking.

A TEMPERATURE, OR HAVE AN ACTIVE CASE OF COVID-19
Riders must maintain current social distancing guidelines - 6 feet apart - before, during and after the rides. Groups are limited to no more than 8-10 individuals. If there are more than
8-10 in a pace group, the group must split, with start times staggered by 5 minutes.
Masks are required before and after the ride where social distancing is difficult to maintain, per state guidelines. Masks will not be required
during the ride since wearing a mask adds stress to the respiratory system. However, the choice is up to the individual rider on whether to wear a mask
during the ride.
