Details:
This is the "Alternative Century/Metric Century" Ride for volunteers working on Saturday during the Horsey Hundred. This allows those volunteers to work on Saturday, May 23rd, and still meet the requirements for the Kentucky Cycling Challenge (KCC), if they are participating in that special program.
Anyone is welcome to participate, however ONLY people actually volunteering on the Saturday of the 2026 Horsey Hundred can use this as an alternate ride for the KCC.
NOTE: Saturday Horsey volunteers can also receive credit for any of the Pedaling for a Purpose routes on this day, which will be shorter. Under special KCC rules -- only for the Horsey -- riders can combine mileage from two days of riding for credit toward the KCC. For example, a rider (who is a Saturday volunteer) could ride 30 miles at today's P4P, and then ride 33 miles on Sunday at the Horsey, and receive credit for 63 miles toward the KCC.
These two routes are planned to provide store stops, but please plan accordingly and know that you should bring enough food and drink with you.
Sign-in sheets for the KCC will be available at West 6th at 8:00 a.m. If requested from Glenn in advance, maps will also be available at 8 a.m.
IMPORTANT: Glenn will make sure you receive your credit for both the Challenge (KCC), and your regular BCC miles, as long as you sign out and back in on his special KCC sign-in sheets.
