Details:
A bucket list ride - the 11-mile, one-way loop around Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Loop opens at sunrise on Wednesday mornings and is closed to motor vehicles until 10 a.m. We hope to ride from a hotel in Townsend to Cades Cove (10 miles), ride the loop (a time or two) and return. You can drive to Cades Cove, park and just ride the loop if you prefer. After the ride, you can hike, go tubing, or find another nearby GSMNP attraction to see. Or head to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge if you wish.
There are a few hotels in Townsend to choose from along with cabins, KOA campground, Cades Cove campground, etc, etc.
