This ride is completely on roads and gravel roads. Gravel or mountain bikes will be needed  as gravel and rough/slick roads will be encountered. This route includes climbing up to Chimney Top Rock and Sky Bridge roads. The climb up to Sky Bridge Road is at least 12.4 percent grade - USE CAUTION both climbing and descending this part of the route. Walk, if you prefer; it is okay to walk this part!  Parts of the paved roads have eroded due to rain, heavy vehicles; again, use caution. Lots of moss growing on pavement near Copperas Creek. This ride will have re-grouping. It is possible that the group may divide into 2 groups.
Restroom facilities are available at the starting location and along the way. There will not be a store stop; bring at least 2 bottles of water/electrolyte beverage. Bring snacks as there is no store stop on the route.

The ride will begin at 10am for the first part of the year; as it gets warmer and sun rises sooner, the time will be pushed back to a start time of 9am. Watch the rides calendar for this change.
