Ride Key

Note: These ride's are intended for drop-bar road bicycles.

A = 17+ mph.  Leaders will not sweep or keep the group together, so you need to be able to ride on your own/do repairs yourself. This ride has very few stops.

B = 14-16 mph. Leaders will sweep and try to keep the group together. They may also help with repairs. This ride has some stops.

C = 11-13 mph. Leaders will sweep, keep a group together and help with repairs. Attempts will be made to make sure no one is dropped. This ride has some stops.

N =  10-13 mph. Leaders will sweep, keep a group together and help with repairs. No one will be dropped. 20 mile maximum distance. This is a "Novice" ride with frequent stops.

X = Off Road / Mountain Bike.

If you are a new member or from out of town, a further explanation of our ride key may be necessary.

A rides will be extremely fast paced and competive events. Distance may be great and terrain will be difficult. Advanced cycling skills are required. (FAST)

B rides will be brisk but social. Distance and terrian will be mid-range. Intermediate cycling skills are recommended. (MEDIUM)

C rides will be slow paced. Focus will be placed on developing cycling skills or site seeing our beautiful state of Kentucky. (SLOW)
