Distance: Ride distances will vary each day and will range from 25 miles to 63 miles per day:

Saturday (optional) - 25 miles

Sunday - 36 miles

Monday - 51 miles

Tuesday - 52 miles

Wednesday - 44 miles

Thursday - 63 miles

Pace: All Comers Ride

Terrain: 1 - Mostly Flat, This is a crushed limestone rail trail
Entirely on trail - no map or cue sheet required
The ride will have regrouping
Ride will be held rain or shine
Restroom facilities are available at the starting location
There will be a store stop

 

Overall Difficulty:

Moderate - due to the crushed limestone ride surface and 5+ straight days of riding.  Riders will need to be self sufficient on the trail, as there will be little access to bike shops, etc. SAG services will provided for a fee.  Food and lodging will be your responsibility.

 

Details:

This is a multi-day ride on the MKT (Katy) Trail.  The Katy trail is a crushed limestone trail that follows the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad line along the Missouri River.

 

We will start in St. Charles, with an optional ride to Machens (the eastern-most trailhead) on Saturday - 25 miles

 

On Sunday, we will pay to take a shuttle to Clinton, MO and will ride to Sedalia, MO - 36 miles

 

On Monday, we will ride to Rocheport, MO - 51 miles

 

On Tuesday, we will ride to Jefferson City, MO - 52 miles

 

On Wednesday, we will ride to Hermann, MO - 44 miles

 

On Thursday, we will ride to St. Charles, MO - 63 miles
