Tour the Gorge from the road again this week. The "easy" reverse route is planned meaning no climbing Sky Bridge Hill (unless you choose to do so). The climb from Slade to Pine Ridge is still tough. (You have to get up to Sky Bridge somehow). Primary ride leader plans to enjoy the scenery, wildflowers and offer assistance to turtles trying to cross the road.
Optional 2 mile climb on Tarr Ridge Road to the Civilian Conservation Center and back, if anyone is interested. There are no stores in the Gorge and the visitor center is not open on Wednesdays, so bring all the water you will need along with lights for the Nada Tunnel. Restrooms are available at trailheads in the Gorge.
