A brevet is a long distance self-supported ride. There are no rest stops, but there are stores and checkpoints to stop at along the way. The 200K  (approximately 130 miles) is the first in a series of rides, with each of the following rides getting longer.

It is strongly recommended that you preregister to save time and paperwork on the morning of the ride. The cost for the 200K is only $12 ($7 for RUSA members).

Please read the rules on the web site carefully, You need to wear a reflective vest and bring two sets of lights. The 200K ride is not a race, but you are expected to complete it in 13.5 hours or less.

The route is marked with white Dan Henry markings. You will need to print your own maps and cues heets and bring them to the ride.  Get the maps here - http://www.louisvillebicycleclub.org/randonneuring/2017routes

Restroom facilities are available at the starting location. 

We will need at least 6 people from the BCC to participate to get mileage credit. Please see me at the starting area before the ride to sign the BCC ride sheet. If you don't see me after the ride, please call, text, or message me letting me know how you did and your mileage. The ride will not be cancelled because of the weather, but if it is very cold or cool and wet, I may decide not to ride. I'll post if I decide not to ride. Let me know if you have any questions.
